I was craving a fish, so I asked my husband to buy one at SM supermarket. But as we were walking around the mall, something caught my eye on the Northwing side of SM CDO, Tadakuma Restaurant. From afar, I could already tell it was a Japanese restaurant, and with that thought in mind, I immediately dragged my husband inside.
The Place
The restaurant’s interior surprised me – it had this simple yet warm ambiance that made us feel very welcome. I could immediately feel the Japanese atmosphere—the simplicity of the decorations, the minimalism of their interior design choices, and most importantly, the warm greetings from their staff, along with that beautiful smell of food from inside. This made me even more excited, and when I grabbed their menu right away—my suspicions were confirmed! They served all sorts of delicious seafood dishes that I had longed for!
The Food
The staff greeted us politely, which added to their credibility as an authentic Japanese restaurant. I grabbed the menu immediately, and they served what I was looking for.
So without wasting any time at all, my husband and I took our order right away: Ebi Tempura, made up of well-seasoned and breaded crispy shrimp served with its special sauce; Then we ordered, Seafood teppanyaki bento and Beef Teppanyaki bento and Mixed Sashimi which consists of salmon slices combined with tuna cubes; and malasugue.
The servers promptly brought our orders just a few minutes later—each dish looked as beautiful as ever! We couldn’t help but start digging into them almost instantly upon receiving them on our table. The flavors were amazing, beyond words can describe—every single bite filled me up delightfully full yet still wanting more…it seemed that this place had won us over entirely!
